The various chapters of the Western Zone of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) collectively had their swearing in ceremony last week, but the actual hand over is being carried out on the individual chapter basis.
The Port Terminal Multi-services Limited (PTML) chapter had their hand over ceremony this morning and it was an opportunity for the new chairman, Mr. Thomas Alor to detail some of the programmes that he intends to carry out during his tenure.
The chairman flanked to his right the chapter PRO, Obinna Nwokeforo and to the left by the national vice president (Ports), Ugochukwu Nnadi.
In an interview after the ceremony, Mr. Alor says that the welfare of members is his paramount priority and that he will do everything in his power to protect their interest as much as possible. He also added that he expects every member to embrace the culture of compliance as far as the profession is concerned as he will make sure that there is a proper interface between the association’s members and the government agencies in order to resolve any grey area that may come up.
He says that he feels elated by the occassion and indicated that NAGAFF is one big family that is also commited to professionalism as he added that the association believes in dialogue for any conflict resolution. The new chairman promises to abide by the ethos of the association in other to take it higher.
