The umbrella body of the major markets Associations in Lagos the Ndigboamaka Progressive Markets Association has expressed delight and at the same time appreciates the effort of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executve Governor of Lagos for his quick intervention on the recent fire inferno which engulfed Akhere Market in Ajegunle of the Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos.

Speaking on behalf of the Association, the Secretary General, Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ukatu a current member of the lagos state market ADVISORY COUNCIL said” the Ndigboamaka Executive and members of the Association sincerely appreciate this kind gesture to our fellow traders”.
“We want to reiterate at this juncture that we made no mistake of asking Mr Governor to run for a second term during our last All Market conference on the 5th of May 2022”.
It will be recalled that the governor visited the site of the incident where he made a donation of one hundred million (#100m) naira to the victims as well as promising to rebuild the market.
Comrade Ukatu added “We also reaffirm our total support on our last meeting with Mr Governor on March, the 6th. We equally use this medium to humbly ask our dear Governor to replicate same gesture to Ladipo whose market suffered the same fate last year.
We remain committed to partnering with the Government that cares and protects the interest of our traders and our Markets.
