The acting Customs Area Controller of the Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun 11 Command, Abeokuta, Deputy Comptroller Shuaib A.B. has continued to show the leadership qualities that endeared him to the officers and men as well as the general public at his previous posts.
DC Shuaib revealed to newsmen during his press conference at the Command’s premises that “Upon my assumption of office, I undertook a two-week tour of the Excise Factories and Free Trade Zones (FTZ) within the command’s jurisdiction. This is in tandem with our commitment to enhance collaboration among the different stakeholders in the supply chains, and subsequently, improve our performance and operational relationship”.

He also said that in terms of revenue generated over the three months period that “The Command generated a total revenue of Six Billion, Four Hundred and ninety-two Million, five Hundred and ten thousand, Six Hundred and thirty-One Naira, thirty-two Kobo (N6,492,510,631.32) during the period under review which is 25.44% increase over same period of 2021. We achieve this feat by deploying massive intelligence and effective monitoring in our operations”.
CAC Shuaib is reputed to be a highly sagacious and assiduous officer and one who operates with a smooth touch of diplomacy while carrying out his functions.
DC Shuaib added that “We solicit the cooperation of various factories for their prompt payment of appropriate excise duty and other charges payable. I would also like to appreciate the traders that have been doing well so far and encourage them to do better in discharging their respective responsibilities”
He also thanked the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd.) for his untiring support and also paid tributes to all stakeholders who make his job less arduous through collaborative efforts.
