The Bishop Ajayi Crowther Memorial Anglican Church (BACMAC) Choir, the musical arm for evangelism of the church and the Diocese of Lagos West Anglican communion Church of Nigeria located in Gowon Estate is continually carving a niche for herself. The Choir which enjoys the full support and encouragement of the Bishop Rt Rev Dr James Odedeji and his amiable wife, mama Lagos west Mrs Olukemi Lydia Odedeji and also the Vicar and Archdeacon of the Gowon Estate Archdeaconry, Venerable Taiwo Olupitan has been congratulated by the organisers of the African Choral and Gospel Championship.

The musical event which takes place in November in South Africa has the BACMAC Choir as the first and one of the Nigerian and the Anglican church representative and it is on the note of the Choir being the first to register for the event that they were congratulated by the organisers.

The Choir has over the past few weeks been doing a lot of work in trying to register, get the paperwork done and raise the money needed for the travel. The first objective has been achieved while the second and third are being pursued. The Choir has also consistently rehearsed on almost daily basis in other to perfect their act and to eventually win more souls in doing their bit.
The congratulatory message was posted on the Facebook wall of the African Choral and Gospel Championship and this development of being the first Choral group to register for the event excites everyone involved in the organisation of the trip.
The choir with this great vision seeks for sponsorship from lovers and promoters of church music for this project of exposing church music and also promoting the standards of the Anglican church and all Christian beliefs on the platform where Africa shall unite in singing. The choir is motivated and willing to remain ambassadors. The choir has several performances which can be watched on their social media handles such as YouTube channel and Facebook.
