Rt. Rev. James Olushola Odedeji, Diocesan and Bishop.
Rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul “. That is the quote of an ancient Greek and great philosopher Plato whose great works are seen in all endeavours of life. If there is a food the soul demands often, that would be music, not just music but classical and well harmonized sounds which is pleasant to hear and food for soul. Thus, the Bishop Ajayi Crowther Memorial Anglican Church (BACMAC) Choir under the leadership of Mr Kelechi Agu and the supervision of Ven. Taiwo Damilola Olupitan and also having the support of our Diocesan and Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Dr. James Olusola Odedeji is always ready to lift souls through chant, hymns, choir anthem.

Confucius, the Chinese most famous teacher will say “music produce a kind of pleasure which human nature can not do without”. In the line of producing music which gives pleasure that human nature can not do without, the BACMAC Choir is staging what seems to be the first in Nigeria, likely first in Africa or second as the case may be, titled “CHORAL FEST AFRIKANA”. The forthcoming concert called Choral Fest Afrikana is a concert put in place to celebrate Nigeria’s classical music icons which have done great work in area of educational music, music composition, choir management, classical music promotion etc, within Nigeria and the Church of God at large.
Like Hans Christian Anderson said “where words fail music speaks”. The Choral Fest Afrikana is not just a music concert but an avenue to speak in the language of music in appreciation and celebration of classical music icons and soul lifting of large audience.
