The spiralling confusion within the ranks of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) currently led by its acting national president Dr. Kayode C. Farinto may be nearing its calm moment as the association’s board of trustees (BOT) elected about two years ago in Owerri and inaugurated last year has been given a certificate of registration by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to serve out its six years tenure as enshrined in their constitution.

A press release signed by the acting president stated that Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, Ozo Chukwura, Kingsley Offor, Shamsudeen Awoteju, Eniola Igbaroola John, Obi Azodo, Isah Aliyu, Abel Timothy Ayokunle and Christian Odinaka Igwe are the elected BOT members whose names appear on the CAC certificate as has been indicated. The statement disclosed that the association has been painstakingly carrying out the process of registering the BOT members since after their election in other to meet all the needed criteria as stipulated. It also added that with this development, all stakeholders should disregard any other group of persons parading themselves as ANLCA BOT members.

Dr. Farinto noted that the matter of expelled members who still go about parading themselves as having stakes in the association shall be investigated and that the people concerned will be brought to account, but that in the spirit of reconciliation that the national executive committee as led currently by himself shall look into the cases of agrieved members.
