ANGLICAN PRIEST LAUDS THE SUCCESS OF THE 8TH SYNOD.

The Diocese of Lagos West (anglican communion) headed by his Lordship, The Rt. Revd. Dr. James Olusola Odedeji has lauded the success of the 2nd session of the 8th synod of the Anglican Communion which took place from Thursday the 19th of May to Sunday the 22nd of May 2022 at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church, Cathedral, GRA Ikeja. The occassion had the theme: Dry Bones Will Rise Again (Ezekiel 37:3).

Remarkable words of thanks and encouragement were said to the President of the Synod and the Diocesan, The Rt. Revd Dr. & Mrs James Olusola Odedeji, the Clergy and the Laity of the Diocese.

There were various activities in the course of the Synod such as; The Bishop’s Charge, Bible Study, Sermons, Lectures on Managing Mental and Psychological Health in The Midst of the Current Challenges in Nigeria, Lectures on the Thirty Nine Articles of Faith.

During the course of the synod, the Bishop Ajayi Crowther Memorial Anglican Church Choir popularly known as the BACMAC Choir received praises by the Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos West, The Rt. Revd. Dr James Olusola Odedeji for a job well done having participated and represented the church well at the just concluded African Choral and Gospel Championship in Rwanda.

The Bishop expressed great joy and urges other choirs in the Diocese to emulate that which the BACMAC Choir has done in the terms of excellence, evangelism and in representing the Diocese. The Choirmaster Mr Agu Kelechi who is also a nominee of the Bishop says that he remains greatful to God Almighty and also appreciates the president of the synod for the recognition and recommendation of the choir. The Church vicar Ven. Taiwo Olupitan also appreciates the Lord Bishop for all his support and encouragement. He assures that the choir will continue to be encouraged to do more and better.
